Mike issued a correction Tuesday after a review of archival footage determined that the sky observed during a previous flight was slightly more blue than initially reported.
The original filing described the sky as "pale blue with a fair amount of sky in it." After reviewing the footage frame by frame, Mike said the color should have been described as "pale blue, but with more blue available than that phrasing implies."
"The report was accurate in the broad sense," Mike said. "But the blue deserved a narrower lane."
Correction Details
According to the Sky Reports desk, the correction affects color intensity only. It does not alter the report's findings on cloud softness, wing-strut presence, ground uselessness, or Mike's continued location inside the aircraft.
"I do not want readers thinking the sky was a different color," Mike said. "It was blue. The issue is that it was doing blue with a little more follow-through."
