Hello. My name is Sam.
Today I will explain an important couch.
A couch is like a chair that decided one person might not be enough. It is longer than a chair. It has cushions. It can make a room feel finished even when everyone is still deciding what to do.
When I sit on a couch, I choose a section. This is not written down, but everyone knows it happens.
The middle of the couch is for brave people or people who arrived last. The end of the couch is for people who want an armrest. An armrest is a small shelf for your arm, but only if your arm behaves.
I sit down. The couch accepts me.
Sometimes I hold a drink. Holding a drink on a couch is different from holding a drink at a table because the drink has fewer official places to go. You must be careful. A couch remembers spills in its own way.
If someone else enters the room, the couch may change. A couch with one person is a place. A couch with two people is a conversation. A couch with three people is a decision.
The back of the couch is where an arm can rest when it wants to look casual. Casual means the arm is not worried about paperwork.
I like this couch because it gives my body several options without asking too many questions.
I can lean back.
I can sit forward.
I can hold the can and look toward the room.
These are all couch activities.
That is an important couch. I hope you find your corner of the sky.
