Hello. My name is Sam.
Today I will explain a good seat by the window.
A seat is where your body goes while you are waiting for food. A window is a clear part of a wall that lets the outside keep attending.
When a person gives you a window seat, they are saying, "Here is food, and also a view." This is a lot to receive at once, so I sit carefully.
First, I put my feet under the table. Feet should not announce themselves in a restaurant unless there is an emergency or a sandal has come loose.
Then I look at the menu. A menu is a list of meals that are not here yet but could be. You read the menu and imagine several futures. Then a server arrives, and one future becomes dinner.
The window shows cars, people, and weather. Weather is outside behavior. You can look at it while deciding if you want fries.
Sometimes the table wobbles. A wobbling table is still trying to be a table, and we should not shame it immediately. I place one hand near the water glass and wait for the room to settle.
A window seat has responsibilities. People outside can see you chewing. People inside can see you looking outside. You must be normal in two directions.
I like a window seat because it gives me information without making me walk around.
I can see the sidewalk. I can see if it is raining. I can see a person carrying a bag. The bag is not my business, but I have seen it.
When the food arrives, I thank the server. Thanking is how adults put a small blanket over a transaction.
Then I eat at the good seat by the window.
That is a restaurant window seat. I hope you find your corner of the sky.
