Hello. My name is Sam.

Today I will explain my drive to work.

My car is a green electric wagon. Green is a color. Electric means the car eats wall power instead of gas. Wagon means there is room in the back for a bag, a coat, or a thing I forgot to bring inside yesterday.

Before I leave, I check the battery. A battery is a small number that tells you how brave the car feels. If the number is high, the car says yes. If the number is low, the car says we should think about our choices.

Then I back out of the driveway. Backing out is when the car goes the wrong way for a short time so it can go the right way for a longer time.

On my drive, I see houses, signs, trees, and people in other cars. The people are also going somewhere. Some of them are going to work. Some of them are going to a store. One man is probably going to be mad in a parking lot, but I cannot prove that from the road.

There are traffic lights. Red means stop. Green means go. Yellow means Sam should decide if he is already being the kind of driver he wants to be.

Sometimes I pass a gas station. I do not need it anymore because the wagon is electric. I still look at the gas station to be respectful. It helped many cars before mine.

When I get to work, I park in a space. A parking space is a rectangle for a car to rest in while the person goes inside and becomes busy.

Then I turn off the car. The green electric wagon becomes very quiet.

I sit there for one small moment.

That moment is also part of the drive.

Then I go in.

That is my drive to work. I hope you find your corner of the sky.
